Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-11
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Quotably (quotably.app), a quote-generation tool for event-service businesses, operated by Ramón Carmenaty (sole trader, Spain). The service is offered exclusively to businesses and self-employed professionals acting within their trade, business, craft, or profession. The Quotably Data Processing Agreement (DPA), available at /dpa, is incorporated into these Terms by reference and applies whenever you enter personal data of your own customers, recipients, or contacts into the service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms (including the DPA).
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Quotably, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you act exclusively as a business or self-employed professional within the scope of your trade, business, craft, or profession, and that you accept these Terms in full. The service is not offered to consumers acting outside their trade or profession. If you do not meet these conditions, do not use the service.
What Quotably does
Quotably is a quote-generation SaaS tool that helps event-service businesses create and send branded PDF quotes to their clients. Quotably does not process payments on your behalf, manage contracts, or act as an invoicing tool. Quotably provides a shareable public link for each quote — this is not an electronic signature or a binding contract tool.
Account eligibility
To create an account you must be at least 18 years of age and act as a business or self-employed professional. By signing up you confirm this status and represent that you are using Quotably exclusively for purposes within your trade, business, craft, or profession. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information and to keep your account credentials secure.
Subscription plans and billing
Quotably offers two plans: Starter (free, up to 5 quotes per month, no credit card required) and Pro ($19/month or $190/year, payable in USD or EUR). All prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes (including VAT), which will be added at checkout where required. Billing is handled by Stripe. Your Pro subscription starts on the date of purchase and renews automatically on the same date each month or year. You authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on file at each renewal. If pricing changes in the future, the updated price will apply only to future billing periods after we post or otherwise communicate the change.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry the charge over a recovery window of up to 3 weeks (Stripe's default Smart Retries schedule). During this window your Pro features remain active and we may notify you by email about the failed payment. If all retries fail, your subscription is automatically downgraded to the Starter plan and Pro features are disabled until you update your payment method and reactivate from the Stripe Customer Portal. No data is deleted as a result of payment failure.
You may upgrade, downgrade, or change billing interval (monthly ↔ yearly) from the Stripe Customer Portal. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades and interval changes take effect at the end of the current billing period; no refunds are issued for unused time on the previous plan. Switching from monthly to yearly applies the yearly price at the next billing date.
To cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Billing → Manage plan in the Stripe Customer Portal. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial-month or partial-year refunds are issued for unused time. Refunds for billing errors (duplicate charges, incorrect amount, etc.) are processed via Stripe within 14 days of confirmation. For questions about charges, email support@quotably.app.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Quotably for any of the following:
- Any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, or violation of applicable export controls.
- Scraping, crawling, or automated data harvesting of Quotably's platform or any content generated through it.
- Sending excessive automated requests, probing for security vulnerabilities, or any other form of API abuse.
- Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
Public quote links
Each quote is assigned a unique cryptographic token that generates a public URL (e.g. quotably.app/q/[token]). Anyone with the URL can view the quote — there is no password gate or login required at the destination. Public quote links are designed for convenience, not for confidential transmission.
You are responsible for: (a) sharing links only with the intended recipient through a channel under your control (email, secure messaging, etc.); (b) not embedding special-category data (health, religion, ethnicity, biometric, sexual orientation) or unnecessary personal data in quote contents; (c) not embedding payment instruments, full government IDs, or other high-sensitivity identifiers; and (d) revoking access by marking the quote as Lost or Cancelled in the dashboard if a link is shared in error.
When you upload personal data of your end-customers into a quote, you act as data controller (or analogous role) and Quotably acts as your processor under the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) at /dpa.
We are evaluating additional optional safeguards including link expiry, recipient email verification, password protection, and one-time view; these are not yet available. Until they are, treat the public link as a non-confidential URL.
Intellectual property
You own all content you create and upload through Quotably — including quotes, customer data, brand assets, and logo files.
By using Quotably, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display your content solely to the extent necessary to deliver the service to you.
Quotably owns all rights in its platform, codebase, branding, and documentation. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Quotably's intellectual property to you.
Service availability
We aim to keep Quotably available and reliable, but we make no warranty of uninterrupted or error-free service. Quotably is provided on a best-effort basis at this stage of development. We will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice of planned maintenance that may cause downtime. No service-level agreement (SLA) is in place at this time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quotably's aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred euros (€100). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Aggregate liability cap: greater of 12 months of fees paid or €100.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription via the Stripe Customer Portal. If you also want account deletion, email support@quotably.app. Deletion requests are reviewed manually and some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security reasons.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Quotably for material breach of these Terms, providing at least 7 days' written notice where reasonably practicable, except where immediate termination is necessary to prevent harm, security risks, or legal non-compliance.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we may post an updated version on the site or notify users through available channels. Continued use of Quotably after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of them. If you do not accept the changes, you may stop using the service and close your account.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.
